PostForge searches multiple sources including Hacker News, Reddit, GitHub, YouTube, and web search to find recent, relevant articles matching your topics. Each article is scored for engagement and relevance using an AI-powered ranking pipeline.

The time frame you set (e.g. 7 days) controls when articles were discussed, shared, or engaged with across platforms — not necessarily when the original article was first published. For example, a Reddit post linking to a 3-month-old article that received new comments this week will appear in your results because it was actively surfaced within your chosen window. Similarly, web search may return evergreen or foundational content that remains highly relevant to your topic regardless of its original publish date. This ensures you don't miss important articles that are trending or being discussed right now.

Yes. When you click Run now, you can choose Custom URL and paste any article link. PostForge will fetch the article content and draft a post from it, skipping the discovery step.

Yes. By default, every post goes through an approval step where you can review and edit the draft before it publishes. Your very first post always requires this manual approval, even if you later enable auto-approve in Automation settings for hands-free publishing.

Draft mode holds every post for your review before publishing — you approve or edit each one. Auto-publish posts passes validation go straight to LinkedIn without review. You can switch between modes anytime in Automation settings. Most users start with Draft mode and switch to Auto-publish once they trust the output quality.

PostForge doesn't support editing posts after they're published. However, you can edit any of your published posts directly on LinkedIn — just go to the post on LinkedIn and use their edit option. PostForge publishes the initial draft, but all post-publish edits need to be made on LinkedIn itself.

Post performance analytics (impressions and engagement) are on the roadmap. Today, the Posts page gives you the full history of your runs and published posts — including drafts, approvals, and publishing status — so you can track everything PostForge has published from day one.

No. PostForge publishes the post itself through the official LinkedIn API — it does not publish first comments, replies, or engagement. Commenting on your own posts remains a manual, human step.

Every post passes strict validation: word count limits, formatting checks (no markdown, no em-dashes, no parentheses), and a banned-word filter that catches common AI-isms. Posts that fail a check are never auto-published — they are held for your manual review, with each issue highlighted so you can fix the draft and approve it yourself.

Yes. PostForge checks every discovered article URL against your entire post history before drafting. If you've already published about that article, it's filtered out automatically.

Yes. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
